Radio, Recording, and Releases

Thanks for listening to the two new songs I’ve released this year, “Can I Just Be Weak", and “You Won’t Ever Abandon Me”! I have been so encouraged to see these songs find their way into the world — and this past week, both of them enjoyed some time on the radio airwaves!

I spent all of last week at Golden Bear Records, working on more songs that I will be releasing this year. These are always some of my favorite weeks of the year, because we have so much fun taking these songs from demos to fully produced tracks.

You might get genre whiplash listening to this album I’m working on, and I will offer no apologies for that. I have a broad pallet in terms of my own musical taste, so as an artist, I love getting to make music that would scratch just about any itch that I feel as a listener. (Side note: This is one of the beautiful things about being a self-funded indie artist: total creative freedom!)

Releases

  • “Can I Just Be Weak” has received more streams in its first week than any other song I’ve released! It got placed on a couple Spotify playlists that have a decent following, so that has helped, but the majority of the streams are coming from people just going to my Spotify artist profile and listening there. I try to never have my heart set on lofty goals or any particular markers of success, but my main hope is that my music and fanbase will continue to grow in time. So, it means a lot to me that this new release is doing just that!

  • New music — March 3rd! Pre-save my new song, “Where To Go” now (if you do that, you’ll get to see the artwork for it before anyone else does!).
